I may want something more substantial then a Snell rated helmet as well.

What if I mount pneumatic tires to it and promise to cross the start and finish lines on the ground?
I wanna know why there are huge gaps in the mesh separating you from the prop, most notably where your head is

You might get across the finish line first, but you will have blown over every single cone on the course. 2 seconds per cone.
I think that will give you an AutoX time of about 2 1/2 hours.

I hadn't thought about blowing over cones, I likely would the starting gate, my plan upon takeoff would be to b-line to the finish gate and touch down just before it.
I'll unpack it and take photos this weekend as I'm running out of state tomorrow. Hopefully I'll have a chute for it by next weekend. Even if it's not Challenge legal, if professional sports are going to be played in empty stadiums, I'm going to fly around the open top of said stadiums.
Wait, you bought it! That's rad. BUILD THREAD! Or flying thread anyway. I've always been curious about these. How dangerous can it be? You're already attached to an open parachute..........
My neighbor is actually into these things. I don't know much except that they make a ton of noise when he's testing them in the driveway, and he occasionally goes SPLAT on the beach and stops flying for a while. He hasn't died yet, though, so that's good I guess?
I think - technically - your plan is ok for the pointer cones, but you do have to pass through any gates by rule otherwise it's a DNF.
In one of the fireside chats JG mention aero being able to mounted be above the height of the cones and people not taking advantage of it. Insinuating the aero doesn't need to pass inside of the gates, if it's above the height of the cones. This with wheels on it would technically be aero and taking extreme advantage of it. The lack of factory frame rails though is obviously why it wouldn't be legal.

That, and maybe the fact that it isn't a car. (Rolleyes) LoL!

I could probably get it tagged in Tennessee
You could probably get tagged in Tennessee if you're into that.
