Not Mine...
2.5 liter v-6 twin turbo.....runs and drives but will need some T.L.C. interior has very nice saddle leather on everything from the shift boot to the door panels and is in good shape......35,000~ original miles on the car. The outside could use a paint job but for the most part is in good shape for the year of the car. I have driven the car and it is very fast. Fun car I just want as diff. project....im looking to build a drift car so any trades will be considered for 240 sx, or anything of that nature.....5-speed manual.....the brakes, paint, and some minor engine work and you will have a very quick car that will hang with alot of stuff on the street. 678-451-2636 call with trade offers or questions...price is very negotiable....but the car is worth at least 4,500 like it sits right now. VERY GREAT PROJECT!!!! negotiable

Put down the keyboard and back away slowly.
Owned by a guy who is 'looking to build a drift car'.
I would build a drift car out of THAT. That would be ballin' outrageous.
How many people can say: "I drift a Maserati."
It's not worth $4500 anymore, Cash For Clunkers is over.
drift it right into the junkyard...
Anyone know how much the engine with turbos weighs? IF you dropped something more reliable in, along with redoing the electrics, would this be a viable car? Or is it so dreadful that everything on it will continue to fall apart?
Once he comes down a lot on his price of course.
The Maserati Bi-Turbo sure seems to be the "Siren Song" of the automotve world. It lures you in with it good looks and perfect name of both Maserati and 2 turbos. Once lured in it leads to the same thing that happened to ancient mariners - a huge shipweck!
Avoid the lure of the sweet song at all costs.

I don't understand, he's asking $1500.. that doesn't seem to bad. Unless my Craigslist comprehension is poor today. I thought these things had like a $1K windshield so is it's crack free it seems like a reasonable cost. I'm sure you could probably get the thing for 1K - 1200 depending on how desparate the guy is..
add another "0" to $1500, thats how much it will cost to get it right again...

Is that thing actually purple or is some weird oxidation thing going on?
Id pay $1k for a running one. Im sure you could part it out for that much if it blew up, and most parts for them arent terribly expensive (although some are). People spend more than that on a lemons car they plan on throwing away after a few days, it would be worth it for a couple of months of driving a maserati. lol
Have you ever noticed that they all seem to have less than 40k miles? Have you ever wondered why?

Thats around the milage that the Owner has to file for Bankruptcy from all the repair costs....
Does the horrendous cost come from trying to right what's already there? Has anyone ever done a cost effective engine/drivetrain swap on one of these?

Now that must be some heavy duty CRACK!!! And yet, I am drawn by the Siren's song, and the belief that an LT/LS* can solve all car's problems.
