Earlier this year we were considering liveries for the challenge car and started thinking about celebrating the challenge itself. Then Steve observed that this was the 25th anniversary of the 1st challenge in 1999.
Ok. That was settled.
What we would like to do is to ask the GRMers to participate.
We will have this space ( where there is no body panel lol) reserved for comments, recollections, and of course remembrances of challenges and challengers past.
Our ultimate livery will be red black and white of course.
We are thinking of short notes and pictures that recall past fun, past cars, competitors that have passed.
We are planning on having red and black paint pens available and. we will be able to cold laminate pictures and paper ( if you want to tell a longer story in 12pt font) and attach them to the car.
Depending on the feedback here we might establish a max size so that everyone gets a chance.

I think I will list the years I attended and cars entered. Maybe finishing positions too.
I think this is a very cool idea. Can't wait to see the finished product.

That is exactly the idea...
along with Memeorable events (on and off track), memorable cars and teams... anything Challenge related that makes the Challenge what it is.
Another bump here to get the word out.
Please be prepared to add something meaningful to the rear deck of our car.
We intend to make it into a presentation piece.
I doubt we will be at the Hotel Friday night, but we will be available from time to time on Saturday in the pits, and of course all day Sunday.
We will have paint pens, as well as adhesives and clear covers, etc... The deck surface will be vinyl.

Wish I would have paid better attention sooner! I'll get something going for the car but I won't be able to make the challenge in person this year.
