The Miata specific Panasports are 15x7, +38 and are over 15lbs, which makes them legal for spec. In fact they could be a couple lbs lighter and still be legal.

Edit: There are some off road Panasports that are lighter, so my comments primarily apply to the typical ones seen. Also unless they are magnesium units the 15's marked 'for race use only' (just a warranty dodge) typically weigh at least 14 lbs. This style of wheel doesnt lend itself to 'lightness' in a modern sense say like an RPF1 etc etc

Either somewhere around the rim or inside the wheel mounting flange, there will be some numbers cast in, they will say 15 x 7 et38 or something like that. A picture or text of that area would clear up a lot of questions and tell people if these are what they need or not. If they are right, I might be interested in them. The tread is different on the tires in the pictures, are they different brands? models? Mike

In reply to TiggerWelder:

Thanks, I'll take a look again. I'm pretty sure it has the et38 but I never saw the 15x7 anywhere and I did look for that specifically. My Corvette wheels have the dimensions clearly cast in the backsides.

The tread looks different because it is a comparison of the stock tires and wheels against the Panasport wheels and BFGoodrich tires. All four are identical.

I have the exact wheels on my daily (a first gen xb) they are super light and super strong as it gets used on stage for recce from time to time and I'm yet to have one bend or crack (knock on wood). Someone better jump on these quick before I find a hiding spot that SWMBOed doesn't know about.

Lockup on the cyclinder is a little sloppy, but it's a Taurus, guaranteed for life regardless of owner, so I'm going to shoot it a bit and then send it back to them. I own a PT709 Slim by Taurus that I had to send back a few times until it came back perfect.
