I know SOMEONE on here has a decent cd player that they ripped out of a track rat.
Cheap is operative here. If i were to be picky, i'd like one set of pre-outs, and one sub out.
Just looking for something to replace the shot stock unit in the EGT so i don't go insane.
How cheap is cheap? Oh, and subjecting a HU to typical exhaust gas temps is just plain mean.
dang, I just got rid of the "dual" unit out of my Crown Vic for 30 bucks, I would have rather seen it go to a GRMer...

I've got just what you need. It's a Sony CD head unit, about 3yrs old. Plays MP3, has an ipod jack on the front and at least one set of pre-amp outs. Even has a remote control. Had it in my leased truck - new truck has a kick ass factory stereo so I don't need it.
$30 + shipping and it's yours.

Can you do me a favor and post the model number? I stumbled across a sweet deal on a Kenwood DPX-501 double din, and i may do the old switcheroo and put that in my car, whatever cheapo i end up getting here, and sell my current Sony.

If you pass on it I might take it. I need one for the BABE rally car.

Model number is CDX-GT300. I just looked and it has front, rear, and sub outputs.

I have a Pioneer Model # DEH-245. I am willing to get rid of for $20 plus shipping.

Give me til Monday to give a final verdict, if that's ok with Corey?

I appreciate it, but i'm gonna have to pass on this one. Not that i don't like you, and i hate to be that picky guy, but i can't figure out how to make Pioneer decks sound decent to save my life. It's all in the tuning, and i don't understand how to tune them. It's not you, it's because i sucks.

No problem. If you don't want it, I'll probably take it, but you definitely have dibs.
Have you made up your mind yet?

Yep. It's all yours. I ended up scoring a nice double din kenwood for the Celica this weekend, just going to run the sony with a spare 4 channel amp and some kicker components in the deathscort. Way more than i was planning on putting into it, but for a total investment of well.... $20 from the junkyard for the kickers and all the wiring i'll need, couldn't pass it up. Grassroots ICE FTW!
