NMNA, just stumbled across it looking for something completely different:

"Hello i have a 1970 vista cruiser 2 door custom for sale. It is a very cool car. The car came equiped with the three rows or seats, Muncie four speed transmission(transmission not included, but may include rebuilt th350 if looking to go auto), Front disc brakes,350 rocket engine(not original has #8 heads the original came with #6), Front bucket seats, Center console, Dual exhaust(only the cross member, and the exhaust manifolds are included), Mirrored sky glass, Chrome ribbed taillights, All of the chrome trim is there, and included,Inteerior is mostly complete, but could use a reupulsery, 15" ralley wheels with all the trim. The car is a lil rough, It needs a restoration, but it is alo a very cool car.the car comes with a new weather striping set, New engine mounts, New brake pads, Factory tach to replace the clock if you want, Spair tail lights, Spair wiring harnest, Drive shaft, Dual exhaust manifolds, Scater sheild and all the piecet to keep it a standard. The rear window is power. The engine is just sitting in the engine comprtment. It isnt hooked up so no power to the car. The two worse parts of the car are the floor(its pretty rugh, and rear floor cargo compartment was cut out), and the sky windows leak(the seals went bad), but once more it's a rare 43 year old car. The car was being worked on so the outside does look a little different from the pics. There is mud, and rot on the car so dont be suprised, but why restore a common hotrod when you can have something that hasnt been seen by many. I just dont have the time, nore the funds at the moment to get her looking, and running the way i want. I'im negotiable on the price. I,m also open to trades for a daily driver car, or truck. mid to late 90s Something dependable, doesnt have to be perfect, maybe trade for firearms, or anything that you think could entertain me. Please i'm not in a rush to ge trid of my project, but don't be shy to ask anything. 386 690 0 two four 0 Thank you, and have a nice day. P.S. Critics, rude, senial, "Think they know it alls" ARN'T welcome to call, or text! DON'T call being a smart ass, or being rude to me, or anyone whom may answer the phone. I don't need any of your comment, or sly remarks. don't tell me the damn car isnt real. it sits right outside my house. Take it for what it is. you most likely havn't seen one before, so if you really like this one come, and make me an offer cause you most likely will never see another one again, and for the guy that flaged me once again it does not state anywhere in my posting that this is a factory car. It is a two door, vin rings up as a four door, three rows of seats 1970 made the third week of october, white upper, and lower trim, interior unknown. leave me alone there is nothing wrong with my posting. stop calling, and hurassing me, i never stated that it was a factory car. pics will be up soon some ass flaged my post because he failed to read my posting properly. Once again there is not anything incorrect about this posting! " (except the spelling, use of capitals, punctuation, etc.)

i saw that a couple weeks ago. that's pretty obviously a coupe with a wagon roof hacked on and a VIN swap from the wagon. real Vista has much longer wheelbase than the coupe / sedan / non-Vista wagon. overall horrible execution AND advertising a VIN swap = not a very bright guy.

Yeah, that abomination has been for sale for a loooong time.

It's a shame, as I really like 70-72 Cutlasses and Vista Cruisers, but this one is just wrong.

I was hoping to see a sedan delivery type of thing. Not quite...

Err... umm... I kinda like it. If I had room for it and a way to get it to PA... the asking price doesn't seem too bad. Fix the rust and leaks, give it a passable paint job and interior, drop in an LS w/ a 4 spd auto... could be a fun cruiser that's a bit different from the average run of the mill muscle car.

You could literally cruise the vistas...

I think it's kind of cool. Can't speak for the execution of the work, but it's a neat idea.

With basically no engine, no transmission, rust, bad floors, leaking windows, highly suspicious execution of rather ambitious bodywork, a VIN that may make it impossible to register, and spelling and grammar in the ad that make my eyes cross, I'd say his asking price is about $1000 optimistic.

That said, I really dig the concept, and the lines actually kinda work in a weird way.

the pic 914driver posted is perhaps the most flattering.

I like it, but the description sounds a lot worse than the pictures look.

issues or not, i'd cruise the vistas in that. but i wouldn't buy from that guy. he sounds like a scam artist.

With the 2-doors it's more of a Cabin Cruiser than a Vista Cruiser.

I'm in the like the concept camp. That's as far as I'll go on this one.

Actually, this pic is the one that most defines it as a fail for me:

Here's a Vista Cruiser:

The shape of the rear window, and the transition from the roof to the "B" pillar ("C" on a Vista) looks awkward to me.

I sort of like the 2 door concept, but that doesn't look right.
