Not quite a typical car for here, but 100% grassroots.....
1988 Samurai 1.3 fire breather-was recently installed, when I bought the engine (other one threw rod) I pulled pan and valve cover to start to rebuild, but found no need. Cross hatching still visible on cylinder walls, no sludge, no signs of impending doom-so I bolted it in and it runs great. No smoke, no noises.... New GM single wire alternator CV carb just needs air filter worked out-new fuel pressure regulator and electric pump New hoses and belts Geo Metro cast aluminum valve cover (not installed yet) New header and supertrapp muffler Bought rebuilt transmission and new clutch-maybe 10 miles on combo. Trail gear 6.5 to 1 transfer case and 5.12 trackick gears in differentials-top speed on 31 in tires is about 50 mph, but crawls like no tomorrow Locked rear diff-welded? Locker? Don't know, but it is locked Spring over conversion done by previous owner No top, no doors (have door shells but no windows)not a commuter unless you live somewhere very warm
Needs some finishing touches, have some parts to complete including full cage made off stock bar
Fun, light toy that wheels all day on $10 worth of fuel and 1/4 the price of a side by side
$2k or reasonable offer
Will get more pics once battery is charged
One of my toys has got to go.....argh
