This and a smooth headlights/smallbumper conversion would be sweeeet.
The bonus is, VW weirdos actually LIKE the quad light arrangement, so the conversion could pay for the rest of the car...

I had an '87 16V back in the 90's. The first thing I did was install big bumpers, quad headlights and newer doors without the small window :D
SO close and so far away... Or I'd be on this faster then a fat kid trying to get into the morning AYCE buffet...
Yeah I looked up how far Sutton is from I'm likely going in a few weeks.(Beckley ) Still too far for a 4cylinder pickup.

I had an '89 GL. I much preferred the small bumpers to the giant-underbite look, and the quad-rounds never did grow on me. It fortunately did have the single window doors. The vent window arrangement can DIAF, it'so ne of the few things that really bugs me about my Quantum.
If it wasn't for the other non-running GTI I had, I'd be on this in a heartbeat. Clean A2s are scarce and the price is a steal. It's even worth having to debug the thing well enough to pass emissions.
