It's a good deal... i saw it on clubprotege a few days ago, offered him the MX6 as trade. I don't really have the cash for it right now, and it's not really as clean as i'd want.
I can finish mine the way i want it for cheaper than buying that one, and starting with a GT, means i have more baller status, right?
The wiring job scared me a little.
This WOULD make a NICE challenge car, though.

I think you should get the swapped one and throw a more rally-cross friendly suspension on it.
I don't think we could even undercut his price a whole lot with ours. That car is a crazy deal, just not really what i'm looking for.
I'll bounce it off of her again, but she wasn't real excited by that car. She likes the EGT, and i suppose i should update my signature, this thing isn't HS anymore.
I considered it, but it's a bit of a hike from here to there to get it. Especially when I can get stock but clean, rust-free examples in much more nearby non-winter states .

It's an Escort. Who cares about rust? That's the beauty of these things. They're never going to look good, so just make it fast.
If you want to get it, you're more than welcome to crash here both ways.
That's true. Thanks for the offer, I probably won't take you up on it though. If it was a different time of year and I had vacation left, I'd be all over it.

I'd be willing to deliver it.... I want to see firsthand what my girlfriend is going to be trying to drive.
we get to take our cars on this track a few times a year with Fox valley club http://www.usainternationalraceway.com/
Spectated a drift event there once, and was given some rides ;)
Id bet this little escort has seen the track there
I don't think it has... the guy that has it seems to be more interested in how "slammed" it is and how "dope" it sounds.
The guy that built it may have had it up there, though... He's churned out 2 or 3 of these monsters.

I bet anyone could walk away with it for $1000 cash, leaving you some serious budget to do some real damage at the Challenge.
I've been trying to come up with the money, but don't think i'm going to make it.
Spend the remaining $1010 on suspension, tires, and spray, and you're looking at a top 10 finish.
If someone is actually serious its half hour away from my work, so I could go look at it and take a bunch of pictures. Just dont waste my time.
