Crazy question - do you have any 215-235 width 55-65 profile 15" R-Compounds laying around? I've got some 16" wheels for my challenge Firebird, but would rather just use the 15" wheels the car came with, but I only have 16" R-Compound tires. I'm also in Ohio, so we could probably arrange something without shipping.

Oh, and AFAIK, the 700-R4 and T5 crossmember is the same.

Refresh my memory: What years would a 3rd gen be?

If you say like 83 to 91, I have some wheels.

WE raced our 78 malibu a couple times last year with 16" Cragar soft 8 wheels. WE have since upgraded to 17" wheels and have the 16's for sale.

Let me know.

Cragar #260-3977734 Soft 8 397 Series Wheel Finish: Black Size: 16'' x 7'' Bolt Circle: 5'' x 4-3/4'' Rear Spacing: 4''

I have 6 of them. They are $66.00 a piece before shipping on Jegs.com.

Shoot me an offer if interested.

Rob

Rob,

Send me some pics, aussiesmg@yahoo.com and yes 3rd gen is 82 to 92

eastside I have 4 Hoosier A6 225/45R-15 s mounted on some 15" rims, what did you have in mind. I now have 16" tires that are wider for $2011 so I wont need them.

I was hoping to trade off the R-compounds even up, and then sell the wheels to you. I'm trying to reduce my challenge budget right now, so I can fit my nitrous kit in the budget. The 16" wheels I have are not perfectly matched, though. One side is late 3rd gen Z28, the other side is IROC-Z wheels. I understand if you're more interested in a matching set, especially itsarebuild's GTA wheels, they should be a lot lighter.

come to think of it.... i have a torque arm from a third gen too. since it isnt likely to work with my T56 swap (too long) i dont know that i need that either. it is the pressed sheet metal kind so unless this is for your cmc camaro i dont know that it would fit the challenge truck without the ame kind of lengthening/ shortening operations...........

If shipping doesn't count on the challenge budget, I've got a set of 16x8 wheels that look like they came off a steam locomotive. Backspacing is proper for rear, fron needs a spacer to be correct, although a bit of judicious grinding on the tie rod end will get them on.

Nobody wants them around here, so ......Where are you- I've got a trucker buddy who is fairly regularly through Wisconsin/Indiana territory getting Caterpillar parts.

I believe I have the radiator and fans if you still have them. I am in the Cambridge area but I am traveling to Delphos next weekend if that is closer for you. I need to check on the fans, I have several fans I am not sure if I used the Camaro fans on my challenge car of I used a different set. The radiator is off of an 89 305 Firebird with automatic.

Delphos, Ohio. Damn that's almost next door to me, all parts accepted and this is for a Lemons build. No hit to the budget for wheels, brakes, shipping etc. I am in Convoy Ohio.

Would like to see pics of those rims Streetwiseguy. Not to happy about banging wheels for 24 hours with ground down tie rods though, spacers could be used.

In reply to aussiesmg:

I will look at the fans I have tonight to see if any match the radiator, if not you should be able to make something work. I will let you know when I am coming to Delphos and what I have. I have the Firebird rims but may need them for my challenge car depending on the direction I go with the front suspension.
