$600 obo, VA area.

seller said: Name: Danny Location: Winchester, VA Means of contact: This thread or text 540-336-9991 (feel free to ask any questions) Price: $600 obo (don’t hesitate to make an offer) No trades The Bad: The electric windows and sunroof motors are slow due to age. There are some scratches on the rear bumper to the right. There are two small star cracks on the windshield below the driver’s line of sight that have been filled. The car has a bad transmission fluid leak and I haven’t located it yet. But I know it’s not the Trans gasket. Description: The car is in excellent condition for an 89’. The body is in great shape except for minor rust spots (smaller than a dime) located on the roof and trunk that can easily be dealt with if repainted. No dents. The interior is in near mint condition except for the crack on the vinyl dash and the cracked middle console. Seats are in great condition with no tears or stains. The car currently has 155,542 miles and the motor runs very strong. The car has a brand new alignment and new tread with less than 500 miles on them. The spare is the same as the rest of the wheels. Mods: Installed Alpine speakers and a JVC color receiver. Everything else is stock or has been replaced with stock parts. Reasons for selling: I recently bought myself a new car and I’m attending college. Between paying out of pocket for classes and my new car payment/ other bills I don’t have the extra cash to get the Mazda looked at/fixed. Since I don’t need the MX6 anymore I want to sell it and use the money to help pay for courses and books. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask. Thanks, Danny Pictures: http://img818.imageshack.us/img818/2295/1220011604.jpg http://img713.imageshack.us/img713/3190/1220011604a.jpg http://img714.imageshack.us/img714/2908/1220011604b.jpg http://img839.imageshack.us/img839/6287/1220011604c.jpg http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/4210/1220011607.jpg http://img252.imageshack.us/img252/6145/1220011607a.jpg http://img827.imageshack.us/img827/2254/1220011607b.jpg http://img828.imageshack.us/img828/110/1220011608.jpg http://img202.imageshack.us/img202/1042/1220011608a.jpg http://img714.imageshack.us/img714/1903/1220011609.jpg http://img651.imageshack.us/img651/38/1220011609a.jpg

Eventually the noise will become too great.

Probably when the screams of "WTF?!?!?!?!" float in the air like a heavenly chorus when Team MX6 Mafia makes its debut at the Challenge.

On paper there's nothing for me to like about these cars and then I see pictures of yours... damn you.

What's not to like about them? Plentiful power, relatively light, good brakes, reliable as all hell, great interiors with tons of room, ginormous trunk...

I'd say their only real downside is FWD.

And seriously... mine sucks. I don't know why so many like it.

Because it's the epitome of dirtbag tech. Plus yours has less rust than mine. Also SOMEONE JOIN US! DONT LET THE HONGS WIN!

It's front wheel drive, has struts, I've never heard an F2T that sounded good, and I fear that owning a reliable car for long would make me like my E36 M3ty English cars less.

Your exhaust exits through your front bumper. That alone makes up for just about any multitude of sins.

Has anyone mentioned no one knows the true power capability of the stock bottom end? Either they grenade due to detonation, or they lift the heads. Not even the Puerto Ricans know. I think you should play along with us as we try to find out.

I'm told that the F2T can sound decent with a real exhaust.... but i can't comment from any personal experiences.

Oh, and my exhaust isn't there because i WANT it to be... size and placement of my particular turbo dictate that i either make a 180 degree tight bend in my downpipe or.... do what you see there.

What he said...there's been a few that swallowed over 30psi on 100% stock motors even down to the headbolts and survived just fine.

Anyone have a guess as to what the fix for the tranny is?

I'm guessing it was overfilled and is leaking out the speedo gear.

Otherwise, could be the shifter shaft seal, which might not be the most fun thing in the world, but it would be cheap.

If it's not one of those things... if you look at it in person and get under it, it'll be REAL easy to pinpoint. These things are pretty simple.

I'm pretty interested, even with the slushbox it would make for a fun commuter car.

Oh.... it's a slushbox? Sorry... i couldn't see the pics.

The slushbox is pretty fun in a straight line at least.

My guesses as to why it's leaking might no longer be applicable.

I'm warring with myself right now. Do I want turbo goodness with an auto? Or do I pony up a bit more and buy this sweet 99 v6 626 I've been eyeing up that will complement my probe nicely?

Both are even challenge priced...

You already have a v6 probe. You do NOT have a turbo mx6. I think the decision is obvious.

I'm going to check them both out Sunday, I'll give a full report here if it'll help anyone else out. I'm also going to be shuttling a puppy to its new home, so a day of driving FTW!

Boy, I was really excited about this till I saw the automatic...that really sucks.

Puppy delivery took longer than expected, if the Mazda is still available next Sunday I plan on looking it over.

Damn that's tempting. I just happen to have a 5 speed 626 with a blown engine too. 20 hours round trip is a long haul for a car though.
