Mine, totally affiliated.
I'm upgrading my entire home theater speaker system and am offering up my main (L&R) channel speakers here before they go to eBay or I get murdered by a Craigslist 'buyer'. The speakers in question are Celestion KR 2s. A little backstory:
Celestion is well-known in the US, but for guitar speakers mainly. In the UK they are known far and wide for audiophile-quality speakers, and in this case, professional studio speakers (hence the almost industrial looks of these). What they lack in exotic wood veneer they make up for in stellar sound quality. These are what recording professionals listen to in the studio during the recording and production process. They are 8" ‘quasi-triaxle’ drivers. Meaning they have an 8" woofer and two tweeters (as opposed to a mid and tweeter). This gives a single point of source for the music you are listening to, and with the tweeters set at an angle, they have incredible imaging and the ability to recreate spacial ambiance not possible with a vertically stacked array.
Enough of the sales mumbo-jumbo. These are basically new speakers with no blemishes, I've owned them since new and they have impressed me, and every other audiophile that’s heard them. If you are close enough to me, feel free to come by and audition them. If you are too far away, we can arrange for me to send them to you to audition in your home.
Specs:
100 watts RMS, 200 peak (more on that later)
90 dB sensitivity!!
8 ohm
90Hz - 120kHz range
For GRMers, I'll sell them for $300 for the pair. These NEVER come up for sale here in the 'States. It took me 6 years to find this pair.
Now, on that 100 watt rating. RMS means you can put a true 100 watts through them ‘till the cows come home and they won’t overheat or fatigue. The 90 dB sensitivity means they will put out an incredible wall of sound at 100 watts. Most Hi-Fi speakers are in the mid to upper 80 dB range, and this is mostly hype. These are studio monitors and are held to a much higher standard.
Here's a pic I grabbed off the 'net because I'm on lunch at work right now.

Thanks Joe, I tried to get a special GRM price. I based it off the only one I saw for sale in the last 9 months. It was a single speaker (so worth less than a pair) and it looked like it had been submerged in a lake for a year! He got $150 for it.
