CBR900RR (Fireblade) motorcycle engine for Locost

I am not selling this, it's a co-worker. But I can vouch for both him and the engine - the car and engine lapped our local track about as fast as Palatov's old V8 Atom. This engine was also in the Car and Driver Locost article a few years back.

He's selling because he swapped in an R1 engine for more horsepower. He's actually regretting that a bit because the CBR mill was more reliable. But so it goes.

I have mocked him for his photos. Hopefully more and better will be coming, but the parts are currently packed for shipping.

• 1998 CBR900RR / Fireblade engine, perfect for a BEC project.
• roughly 10,000 miles, although the odometer shouldn't be considered 100% correct.
• Comes with labeled wiring harness pre-modified for car use and original ECU.
• Extra set of carbs (parts only).
• Extra needles, jets, etc.
• Custom (ugly) intake.
• Gauge cluster.
• Exhaust pieces to construct your own exhaust.
• Aftermarket and stock coils and wires.
• 105 whp / 60 lb-ft (corrected). Dyno-proven, behind Merkur (car) diff.
• Tons of extras, way too much to list.
• Runs like a dream. I probably shouldn't have swapped it in the first place, but it's too late now.

The board is apparently getting busy enough that even checking "Latest Topics" 6-12 times a day let this one slip by. Until you posted this last reply I assumed I had missed it the few hours I went between checking in this morning. I have seriously been cruising craigslist 2-3x a day for the last few weeks searching for bike motors.

Even then it looks like it sold in 6 minutes.

I'll let you know if the sale falls through, but it's looking good.

Brandon also has a complete, pretty motorcycle (he calls it an SV and I think it's about 600 cc, I'm not a bike guy) and a sailboat for sale, need one of those?

Looks like I might be getting in under the 6 minute window but sadly no. Let me know if the 900 motor goes back up for sale.
