Not mine, etc...

Great project car. Engine and transmission run strong. Have used as daily drive, but it has been garaged for the past year. Few issues to fix, but does not effect driving. First $1200 drives it away. Sunroof, CD changer, power seats. Newer radiator, front bearings, brakes.

Thanks for posting Woody...nicest beater I have bought. Seriously nice shape, time to make a track beater and drift machine. :-)

That's awesome! I was tempted myself, but Killingworth is a bit of a haul from here. Are you local?

I'm up in Washington, so a little further then you. I went out this afternoon with my trailer. Been garaged most of it's life, a couple minor issues. Glad I kept the Bentley from my previous E36 M3.

That is one of the nicer $1200 cars I have seen in a while.

164,300 miles on the odometer

I couldn't believe it lasted as long as it did on CL...and he talked himself down from the $1200 because it might need a battery and I traveled so far (little over an hour, so not that far to me).

Issues: -Passenger window motor or regulator

-Battery seems to be holding charge, so maybe it's ok

-Funky gauge cluster (powers on/off as if there's a bad ground, I guess these clusters go bad) - plan on going through all the fuses (a la Woody on his 911SC project) and clean grounds. What is weird is the odometer seems to randomly not register miles, where as the trip rolls along fine.

-Some plastic bits left in cooling system (having owned an E36 M3, I want to replace before they fail) but it has a new radiator already

-Shocks are very blown

-Has been garaged most its life, so paint will buff nicely. Couple minor dings/dents, but not bad. Minimal rust.

-Valve cover leak

All in all, I am looking forward to getting it on the road tomorrow. Straight six feels great (sounds and smoothness) and aside from the blown shocks, should be a ton of fun to play with. Maiden trip will be to Watkins Glen for 6hrs Sahlens at end of June. Plan on addressing some of the known areas, fluid change, tune up, new shocks. Already have a line on new DZII's and Koseis.
