Seller said: I have for sale a 2001 bmw 330i it needs a valve job the car got low on oil and got to hot. I would rather sell the car as a whole but will part the car out just make an offer everything is good other than the valve, the transmission was just rebuilt and had a brand new clutch replaced has leather heated seats and everytging you can contact me at (619) -344-1303

Didn't these have a problem with Oil Level Sensors failing, causing the light to come on? Wonder if it just needs a new sensor? dunno...

The "got too hot" part means atleast a head job. If it's an aluminum block - best to just assume the worst and offer $1250 to haul it away where an LS motor can be installed.

His "mechanic" is saying "the head might be warped, but worst case is it's a burnt valve"... huh?

Just said it has gotten hot "once"

M54 is all aluminum, if it was overheated the motor is done. His mechanic sounds like an idiot, for sure.

Right now in my garage/shop I have the following engines not in cars... e21 m10 (for sale....)...with a 5 speed 1.5L D series honda engine (planned for mini swap) s52 (going in e21) 4.8L LS with a 4l60e 6.2 LS3

I really need more room/time/clones
