Didn't these have a problem with Oil Level Sensors failing, causing the light to come on? Wonder if it just needs a new sensor? dunno...

The "got too hot" part means atleast a head job. If it's an aluminum block - best to just assume the worst and offer $1250 to haul it away where an LS motor can be installed.
His "mechanic" is saying "the head might be warped, but worst case is it's a burnt valve"... huh?

M54 is all aluminum, if it was overheated the motor is done. His mechanic sounds like an idiot, for sure.
Just a valve job, new head, and heli-coil the block threads...

e21 m10 (for sale....)...with a 5 speed
1.5L D series honda engine (planned for mini swap)
s52 (going in e21)
4.8L LS with a 4l60e
6.2 LS3
I really need more room/time/clones
May have a buyer for my E30 so I can pick this thing up, but the seller sucks at replying to texts.
