This is my project, and I have to let it go because it is at the father in law's house and he says it cannot stay there, and wife says it cannot come here. $1000 is a firesale price as far as I'm concerned, this is good stuff. Just needs reaassembled, this swap is very well documented on fordfestiva.com and everything you need is included. Would make a fantastic choice for a $2013 challenge car, or would also be a real hoot at local autocross or rallycross. Plus you'll be getting over 40 real world mpg. Charles Town WV.

I want to point out that turboing the ford/mazda BP engine is 1) easy, 2) common, 3) cheap.
realistically, you could have this thing in the car and running for $1100 or less, leaving another grand in the budget for a turbo and $2013 glory. I also think this would be an extremely economical lemons/crapcan entry... 1600 lbs is very easy on stock sized brakes and tires... this one already has slightly upgraded brakes, and even the escort wheels are only 14's or 15's. the aspire wheels are 13". very cheap tires. very cheap running costs. I wish I could finish this one!
one more chime in before I go to bed, for the NA fans, this is essentially a miata motor. want high compression and ITB's? its available... cheaper than you might think.
Thank you, sir. Now encourage someone to buy it as soon as possible. It appears likely it will be loaded on my trailer today, and once that happens it has nowhere to go and there is a limited time I can leave it on my trailer before wife/neighbors/homeowners demand it be removed.

andrave is in the far north eastern panhandle, like 4 hrs from Charleston. I'm a hour and 40 minutes south of Charleston, but working the summer away in Charleston.
I live an hour and 20 minutes from DC. Someone is coming tomorrow to look at the car, said he is bringing cash. fingers crossed.
