Anyone looking for a weird project? I have a nice strong, well made, vintage rail dragster chassis build to accept a VW engine and running gear. The ball joint front end is there and usable, the rear torsion tube is from a VW Bus, but could be converted to sedan if you prefer. Steering hanger, shifter box, and pedal mounts are welded in place as is the seat mount and brackets for a small Moon tank or the like. Needs scuffing/blasting and paint, but as solid as can be. O'l Skool coolness, haven't seen another like it before.

Build it up as a dragster, or chop it in half. Front have for a reverse trike, rear half for a traditional trike. The tube chassis would be a perfect match for the motorcycle tube frame sections.

Another possibility would be to build it up as a VW powered Locost-like ride.

Been looking for a cool body for it with no luck, probably time to sell it to someone who will make good use of it. Like to get $100 for it and well worth it. Have a full-on drag transaxle, slicks mounted on 10" wide VW wide five wheels, steering wheel, gauges, custom shifter, seat, aluminum nose tank, eight spoke alloy front wheels, pedal assembly, master cylinder, front brakes, extended steering shaft, etc. Almost everything to finish the dragster for sale separately in you want a package deal.

Located in Lovely Kingston, Massachusetts 02364. Right on the Southern coast line just a smidge North of Plymouth Rock and those pesky Pilgrims . . .

Thanks,

TC

If interested, post here or send email to: deeezynr@comcast.neeet Just replace the "eee" with a single "e" and it'll go through fine. I did it this way to prevent junk mail, but it probably won't work. Probably just made it hard on you guys instead. Typical ME . . .

that's really cool. I'm glad I'm not closer to you.

You know, I saw a 911 engine/trans on my local CL just this morning.....

You know, I really wouldn't bother with the cost, trouble, maintenance, or weight of the six cylinder Porsche engine. I currently have an 1835 VW based stroker engine with all of the goodies that will kill most four cylinder Porsches. I have the makings of a 1914, also with a stroked crank going in that will give even six cylinder Porsches a decent run. If you want the Porsche name and bragging rights, that's one thing, otherwise a basic 1600 VW based engine can be built for almost pennies and stay together with basic care and maintenance. I'm prejudice against Porsche, but then I love to keep my coins in my pocket, not pay for a Porsche shop owner's race program.

I know, shipping costs are insane these days, even when you just sneak something on the front or rear of the transport. I was very surprised to find this one here in New England, usually these kinda things are a Mid-West or California kinda thing. I have a buddy who buys and sell a lot on eBay and has begin to use the various college bulletin boards to get stuff moved around the country. Kids coming back East from college out West with a partially filled U-Haul always have room for a couple of extra fenders, can always use some extra money for gas and food, and really don't mind the extra load if it means an expense paid trip.

Smart ! !

Sigh....I loves me VWs. Wife has this odd desire to drag race.

Shoot me an email with full package prices with and without motor and let me know if you have any interest in a modified Yugo ;)

I have saved no one yet. Perhaps he doesn't want a Yugo, perhaps I can't make the deal work in cash. Perhaps YOU want a Yugo and I promise to use the funds to put a WRX motor in that thing and film my fiery demise for all to enjoy!

Not interested in a Yugo right now as I recently picked up a Karmann Ghia for my next year Winter Beater. Bad timing, typical me. Who doesn't love the Yugo. Seriously ! !

I'll figure up some nice "package deal" prices for the rest of the extras and post them here. If you're not interested, possibly another is.

Thanks !

Have also have a bunch of parts and pieces that I've picked up to finish the dragster that could be included for a "package deal" price if anyone's interested. Like to sell them as a whole package rather than breaking them up, but maybe if the buyer can't use all of them we'll, just work a deal. Anyway here's a partial list of the parts along with the package pricing. Of course, I'm totally open to an "all in one" kinda of offer. Like to see the dragster get built and back on the strip. Hopefully somewhere hear in New England. Englishtown, Lebanon Valley, Epping, be cool to see it in competition.
