Don't see these coming up for sale too often, needs work though. Not mine.
For sale is a 1974 Mazda rotary truck. With 136,xxx miles on it. It was a parts runner for a garage and turned into a project that never got finished. It has been sitting for several years in our shop. It is complete EXCEPT for the tailgate and both front fenders. They were given to a body shop to be refinished and the shop went out of business shortly after. The owner of the shop disappeared along with the fenders and tailgate. The truck has some kind of aftermarket header installed on it. It has a 13B rotary engine in it and a manual transmission. The truck also includes some extra parts. Asking 1000 obo. These trucks are rare!! Call (717) 215-2034 NO TEXT MESSAGES! *UPDATE* truck started an runs great just needs some fresh fuel and a battery!*

Kind of sucks the fenders are missing. They are sort of unobtanium. The tailgate isn't such a huge deal as you can use a B-series,or Courier of the same vintage, but the fenders are really hard to find in decent shape,or at all.

Not the same. Will bolt on but the REPU fender is a good couple of inches wider at the flare, and may be different in the headlight grille area. I would have to look again, but trust me REPU fenders are hard to find.
it's a good thing my brother doesn't read this regularly as he is in the area and would like to find another REPU to replace the one he had about 15 years ago.
You know something is rare when the "twin" that could donate the missing parts is also extremely rare.
I know a guy in MD that is selling three of these. One that I think is daily drive material, another that is close, and a parts truck.
SVreX: My fenders aren't even close to being a good base for a mold. They aren't bad, but I would think you would want perfect, and that isn't what I would call mine. There was some talk a few years back of someone making a mold, but I don't think it went anywhere as REPU owners are historically cheaper than GRM'ers. A company in CA did make a reproduction of the front air dam out of fiberglass, and I bought one of the 10 or so they made. I have never used it, but I have it.
Good molds can be made from "not bad" parts- especially on something like a fender that has long smooth lines.
Just takes little more effort.

Yep, you'd just have to work the molds once it was done. If someone had a set of fenders to work with that they could give up for a few months (I work slow) I could probably pull a mold of them.
I saw one of these a few years ago. It had just been used for "jaws of life" practice by the local fire department. So sad.
