Are you definite on the wheels? It's hard to trailer (or untrailer) without rollers.
What's the bolt pattern?

5 lug on the FC is going to be 5x114.3
The only suspension I have is a combo of brand new Ground Control and Bilstein parts. No way I'm letting those go for $200. Suspension and wheels are already removed and listed for sale here:

I have the space to store the take-off parts, but not the shell.
5-lug. Is the hood aluminum?

His other thread says 5 lug conversion. Not sure what that means- might not have been original to the car.
that's a nice clean shell if someone has a rusty driver sitting around and feel like doing the work.

Ah so it was a 4-lug base car. 5-lug sport models had aluminum hoods, which are worth $200 on their own. This one likely has the steel hood.
Hmmm, how hard would it be to scrounge up some junkyard suspension assemblies and wheels, make sure the tires hold air, haul the parts over to the shell with a trailer, ???, profit?
Too far from me, but great Challenge fodder for someone closer!
I JUST left the Mobile but didn't have a big enough trailer to tow it home.

If it would roll, I'd already be in Mobile.
Too big a PITA to load/ unload/ move around for me to consider it easily.
But I'm still considering it.

Maybe.
His wording doesn't tell me if they were 5 lug pieces used to convert his car, or pieces from a 5 lug car you can use to convert your own car.
Car is an 87 base model that had 4 lug wheels. Converted it to 5 lug prior to removing suspension, wheels, etc. The hood is steel.
Also - energy suspension polyurethane installed on all the pieces I could replace.

Thanks for clarifying, Marc.
Sport brakes installed as well? or just the 5 lug conversion?
I want this, but I have zero way to get it.
Brakes are listed for sale in the other thread, they are the big brakes.
Dropping the price - I need this out of the garage ASAP. Bring $50 and a trailer and it's yours. Only drawback is that there's no suspension on the car.
I'm a 1st gen RX-7 guy, so bear with me here on my stupid questions. Would a base 87 chassis be the same or similar to an 89 Turbo II chassis? Could one use the necessary parts from said 89 TII on this chassis, and then have a newly bodies TII that really wasn't a TII? All this being said Mobile,AL is a heck of a long way from Carver, MA, but I have to ask.
The bare chassis should be identical for same series.
This is an S4 car versus your S5 car. There should only be a few chassis differences (none that I think will matter for your intended purpose). The gas tank is 2 gallons smaller on an S4. The molding is different around the car. The S4 will NOT have the mouse seatbelts. There are several small items in the interior that are different.
I am pretty sure you could place MOST of your interior in this car and it shoudl work (still need seat belts). I am SURE your drivetrain will plop right in with out any mods. YOu may need to change some wiring where the engine harnesses tie in with the chassis harnesses.
Just to be clear - this is the bare shell only - no drivetrain, suspension, interior or wiring. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to take more pics or talk to you over the phone. I do have the suspension for the car for sale in another post.

All prices are negotiable.

I know what you have in mind, and this shell is COMPLETELY worth swapping all of the TII bits into. The plastic outer bits for the TII will bolt right onto this chassis, and if you want to get really crazy, get a Canadian spec S5 black carpet and seat belt accessories. They didn't have the mouse belts, and had the black interior bits.

Boom. Done. Storing that Canada bit for memory....
