Looks ready to go....
Don't look here. I wonder if the tailgate drops down.

Best I can tell it's on a GM frame (or at least front subframe) of some sort.
This is a weird beast. I'll follow along if someone from GRM is ambitious enough to make this into a challenge truck, but that's about all the closer I want to get.

Good call.
Whatever is going on under the hood of this hacked up mess, it certainly isn't A body MoPar-
Only info I can find on these is the Valiant Wayfarer sold mostly in Australia, obviously those are RHD though. What do we know about these here in the US?
thank god my wife has planned to change careers so I'm in "slam it all in the bank" mode, or my ass would be on the way with a pocket full of money right now. this thing is berkeleying EPIC and I WANT.

I'm thinking it is probably some sort of downsize pickup, due to the location of the fuel filler. The wheels remind me of Ford, though.

We know it is someone's cobbled together abortion. Look at the firewall in the photo I posted.
Well, you guys know your stuff, it's on an S10 chassis. Used to be on a different chassis and used as a dragster at some point. Gonna need some work before it's streetable. And no, the tailgate does not drop down. In case there's any doubt, this cobbled together abortion now belongs to me. YOLO

That's awesome!

Like as in the 'buyer' or 'seller'? I am guessing the latter.
We, the GRM faithful, demand more pictures and a build thread.
Edit: you're the buyer

Since I know you are a lover of these things, as soon as you are ready to drop a Dodge motor in it, I've got a 16v Lotus head TIII 2.2L turbo Dodge (which has been hired to 2.5L) from a Spirit RT ready to go.
Sorry to post and dash earlier, I only had a few minutes between dropping off my project and going to pick up Chuck's project, also purchased today. Chuck picked up a 1985 Chrysler LeBaron woody wagon. It's going to be the perfect sleeper with the motor and rear end from my Spirit R/T.
Speaking of which, thank you very much for the offer on your motor SVreX, if it turns out mine is not as good as it appears to be I may take you up on that for the woody. The Wayfarer Wannabe will probably keep the 305 for now. She dug a nice hole in the gravel climbing up on the tow dolly today. Pics and build threads to come....
