Attempting to sell the old Passat right now and it's $1600. Just got a message asking if I'd be willing to take payment so I responded with a ridiculous answer ($750 down and $100 a week for 6 months). Dude just asked when I would need the down payment???!!! 
"down payment" = All you're going to get.
When I was selling my ‘65 Mustang fastback in 2003, I placed an ad in Uncle Henry’s, for sale or trade for land in Maine. I had two serious offers for multiple acre lots, but both we a little farther north than I wanted to go.
