Is that your shop?!
Also, that's a beautiful shiny 1zz.
It's complicated. It's a automotive technology program that I am curriculum chair of, and keep the kids (hopefully) entertained and inspired by building stuff on top of doing customer work. Wish I had enough money to do more but when I can we do some cool stuff. I even got to hire one of my closest friends. I'm very very fortunate.
There are basically 8 bays, 3 lifts, a new hunter rack with winalign, race scales, an industrial compressor, a wash bay, a health tool budget, a nice classroom, nice office with a 60" tv and xbox1, etc. The school pretty much gives me carte blange. I get to help kids find their way in the world, and they trust me (give or take) to do that in a way that works for me and feels organic, it's well funded and we do very well at the task of changing people's lives. It's amazing. Really really gratifying, inspiring, work that gives me hope.
When I'm not doing that, I'm an instructor at Limerock Park in Lakeville ct. Like I said.... pretty fortunate. Pretty damn thankful.
Got to make that front lip fit and paint it to match (super white II). But so far I'm super excited about the aesthetic. We'll see what the gods of the wind think about it soon.
An update about the charge speed ctr front lip, without Major fabrication, it would never fit. Fortunately I'm willing to do major fabrication. :)

Freakin love this. I dream of 2zz swapping one and stripping it down to convince myself I made an Elise

Thanks for the encouraging words man. Build one of these and race an elise and you'll be real convinced. There's a modded exige cup 260 in my class at time attack, it's not appreciably faster than my 1zz turbo street car. Dont get me wrong, theyre really cool, but these are too when they're built a bit amd I think bang for the buck is way higher on a zzw30.
Would you tell me more about your roll bar? I'd like to put one in our MRS but am unfamiliar with what the options are. Did yours fit under your top when you had one?
It was in the car when I bought it, it sucks, the seat wouldn't go back anywhere near the amount that it could without it and it wasn't triangulated at all. I dont know who made it but it was a garbage style bar. We're in the process of redoing the cage for full seat travel, actual rollover safety, and structural rigidity. It's getting door bars and triangulated to fish plates on the rear firewall.
Good to know! Please share details of your new bar(s). Assuming we end up wanting to track ours, rollover protection will be imperative.
Carbon, I hang out occasionally with friends on Jackson Road in Sharon. You certainly do have it good. Great place to live and be a racer. Great dining also. (Woodlands, Flying Pig, etc.)
working away on fitment of the chargespeed front lip, a fair amount of customization to fit but it's coming along. Cant wait to see it in super white two to match the car. Forgive the oz wheels with snows, she's waiting on volks with hoosiers.
Trimmed, modified, painted (needs a better match) and temporarily installed, patiently awaiting the return to normalcy, a reinforcement in the middle to get rid of the wavy area, some 3m tape and a nice carbon splitter. It feels quite special.
Cant wait to get the rest of the aero package and wheels done/on. I think it’s coming together pretty nicely. Needs skirts, a diffuser, some flares, and them volks!
