I'm with Tunaman too; not a drifter but man I like this.
I plan to keep the grill, bumper, some of the glass, maybe the dash, and my friend wants the flathead V8. I am sure the engine is locked up beyond use, it was missing spark plugs and had not ran since 1977.
I really don't know how to put a price on it because I am taking most of the good stuff and the floorpans have rusted so much that there is not much left of them.
What are your plans for the fenders, doors, hood, trunk, and roof? I'm not really wanting to take it on, but someone should build a tube frame chassis and drop the rest over it.
Are these fair prices?
Drivers door is in pretty good shape. I am guessing it is worth $100
Passenger door is rusted through so it is probably not worth much, maybe $40
The trunk is in decent shape. It has a fair amount of surface rust but definitely usable. $80
Both front fenders will need patches at the bottom $40 each
Front and rear seats in rough shape, basically just the frames and springs $50
Rolling shell minus all the stuff listed above and without the parts I need $300
In reply to jstancel:
Your prices seem extremely low to me. Except maybe for the seats. If you're good with them and want rid of it fast then go for it. If you can afford to sit on it for a while I bet you can sell it whole minus what you need for close to $1000. They're not making any more '50 Ford tudors, that's for sure.
heh. I spent the day tearing down a 51 ford.
truck, and not a drifter, though. probably stock resto.
im digging this project.
Jonathan your build reminded me of jhaas 1949 build, maybe for some ideas:

Great work on the car. Love to see old metal alive!

That is actually what gave me the idea to do this. Back when it was posted, I thought it was amazing.
I wanted mine to be more track oriented so I went with something I knew I could get off the shelf suspension parts.
I am also toying with the idea of an LS swap. The parts to convert this to 5spd is going to be over $1k but then I would still have an engine with 279k miles and a mean oil leak. I have an LS3 long block so all I need is wiring, ECM, T56, driveshaft, and the rest of the swap parts. This is not my first LS swap so I know it is not as easy as I just made it sound.
I actually had to check cause that sure looks like a transverse FWD drivetrain ? How d es that intake get divided into 4cylinders each side?

It has a really weird intake. Here is how it looks underneath.
I vote you swap the auto out and build a wicked nissan. Maybe grab a 5.6 even. No need to go with the ls when you already have a solid v8.
