I have a 1969 c20 black 2 door long bed 2wd pickup that I picked up for $800, it has no body rust and an all-around clean truck. I currently have a sb 350 in it and a Muncie 4 speed with a gm 14 bolt with 4.10 gears. the main reason I'm doing this post is I would like a bit of advise/ideas on what I should do with the truck, mainly the motor I am trying to get something that sounds good and is fun to drive while on a budget.
On a side note, I'm new to this whole thing and I'm not quite sure this is where I should be.

That sounds like an excellent truck, post some pictures! If you want to wake up the 350 some look at the cheapie Summit cams. I put the K1103 ( I believe) cam & lifter kit along with a Summit brand timing chain in my C10 and it really woke the 305 up and had a great sound. Couldn't beat it for a $200 upgrade.
If you're on the lower end of the mechanical stuff learning curve, a K&N air filter and liberated muffler will wake it up. What do you want, slammed track car or lifted BroDozer? Work from there.
