$2000 C3 Challenge build

So I learned today that the 77 is full of one year only oddities. Like, apparently the tilt, telescoping steering column. And some are willing to pay up to $1500 for a good used one, because originality or something. Anyway, I'm waiting to find out what makes it so special. I'll sell it in a heart beat if it means recouping that much money. How tough could it be putting in the wrong year or even making my own? This isn't going to be a street car.

Younger me had visions of a late 70s Vette with flared fenders and sidepipes..

Do I buy this 10 gal fuel cell for the Vette. Currently I have no gas tank for it.

At that price, I would just go new.  here's a random one from eBay: 

Or use this information to get the tank you listed for $40 dollars.  Used should be significantly less $$ than new.

And if you're going to swap out the tank after the challenge, a small  NEW 2.5 gallon tank should get you thru the competition at $47: (with the added bonus of easier to package)

If you want to drive to Charlotte I have a 10 gallon sale I'll give you for $2

3 gallon fuel cell purchased. Still need to sell off stuff. SOOOOO behind on this one. 2025?  Hmmm, maybe 26 at this rate. Perhaps no more predictions. Did I mention I got a dry erase board?

Now that I can start working on this I have a question. I see 8 circuit wiring kits on FB locally and want to rewire the car so I don't have to worry about the original wiring being bad or hacked. I've seen some at $50. Worth it?

Ive bought the 50 dollar kits. Dont expect much at all. Its not even great wire.
