Little update. Installed a 2008 $500 4.8.  Summit stg2 cam and the big T6 china S480.  CAr ran a new personal best last night of 8.80 @ 158!

Finally go the new 275 tire to hook.

23-24lbs on 13* of timing. Pulling lots of power from the launch as well.

Made a few 9 sec passes going easy on it at first and trying to dial in the suspension.

Didn't get my 8 sec run on video unfortunately... and the only decent video was my first WG only pass of 12lbs last weekend.

Well done. I saw this thread and thought, "how on earth did I miss this." I read through it again and realized the last post was 5 years ago, but also, I was following it 5 years ago. Lol

Since then my dad and I have gotten pretty seriously involved in turbo LS powered stuff. My Fairmont Station wagon makes 900hp and has been a best of 9.08 at 151. Haven't turned the boost up anymore. We'll get an 8 soon. Thanks for sharing and inspiring.

Sleeper cars are my fav! love big power wagons! Have a build thread? I've got an old beat up 4cyl notch mustang too. Retained all the factory 4 cyl exhaust, badging, wheels etc. It's a factory quiet car with a twin turbo 5.3 in it. Have 2 pneumatic 3" exh dumps off each downpipe. Super fun to sneak up on people with.

This is freaking awesome.  That tiny tail pipe is hysterical.  This is from someone old enough to remember the effect of seeing one of these come down the road with GT wheels, way back when 5.0s were still the thing, then seeing it go by with no noise or dual pipes.  It made the whole car about as valuable as chaps with no pants . . .

Good work in re-learning folks what sleeper actually means.
