My 72 Datsun 1200 with a Ford Zetec 2.0 and TWM ITB's mated to a Mazda RX8 6speed. Rides on 13x7 panasports
1450 lb, empty tank.
Why didn't I use an SR? They're $4000 here in Canada for a engine and trans. The Zetec was $230 with 40K on it, the RX8 Trans was $300. Will be running it all via a microsquirt. I can't see the ITB's having done much other than move the torque curve up and hopefully allow the rear diff to live a little longer. I have a 1st gen LSD RX7 diff but at this point just want to get it on the road so I can move on to the 8 other projects I have on the go.

I don't post much online but really should start a thread or a site. FYI I did weigh my v8 corvair as well 2767 with a full tank of gas, leather seats etc. it's a 68 with a 2015 LT1 and a cayman S trans.
That looks like a lot of fun! Love the color too.
What needs done to get you out on the first test drive?
Awesome build; thanks for sharing! I'd love to see more...you should definitely start a build thread!
A couple more pictures of... everything?
Pretty please?
Love these cars. My uncle had a stock 1200 one in red and boy would he make it dance in some back tiny roads taking us to the beach when we were kids. He got t-boned twice and fixed it both times. His son wanted to put a 2000cc engine in but eventually sold it for something more modern. Good memories.
