Monday garage night with 3 days until departure, so what do you do?
Repair trailer brakes of course!
Plus more car prep, but we'll save those pictures and share in a few days.
Also, mad dash to complete the build book and Concourse prep is happening. Plus packing.
Apologies to the rest of the field but this will by far be my favourite entry at the challenge this year.

Mine too 😉.
I'm not sure if I ever shared this with you, but Steve was very appreciative of the friendship you showed him. He talked with joy (when we picked up the car) about the guidance you gave him before and during the build. He really did consider you a good friend and kinda a kindred spirit. So thanks from him and us too
In other news, team shirts arrived today:
I sent a couple pictures to Steve's widow (of the car done up in Challenge Livery and the most recent team selfie) along with a note letting her know about the car going to the Challenge this weekend in Steve's honor. She sent back this response just now:
"Dear Brian and Team,
I want to express my deepest gratitude for continuing the car project that my husband Steve began. Your dedication to completing this project means more to me than words can say. By bringing Steve's vision to life and entering the car into this event, you've honored his memory in the most meaningful way.
The passion and commitment you've shown in working together to finish what Steve started is truly touching. I know how much this project meant to him, and seeing it come to fruition is incredibly special to me.
As you prepare for the event, I want to wish you the very best of luck. Whether you win or not, you've already achieved something remarkable – keeping Steve's dream alive and creating a lasting tribute to his memory.
I wish I could be there to congratulate and thank you in person.
With heartfelt thanks and warmest wishes,
Jean"
It's suddenly gotten dusty in here.
Spent a lot of time on-line with Steve after he first contacted me asking how the Molvo was spliced together. It was fun getting to the point where Steve's interpretation took off to become his vision and not just a clone. I encouraged him to do the build thread on this forum and he seemed to fit right in.
When Steve contacted me and asked if I wanted to take over his build, or knew someone who might, I suggested that he put a call out and try to pass it on in his build thread. I mentioned the Challenge and how maybe the project could be taken on for that event if priced right. I had no idea that Steve would practically give the car away. I was very happy to see it adopted by this challenge team.
I don't see ever making it to the Challenge in person, but I will be along for the ride this time!
Pete
