A nd the emergence sound system
I always liked these but they were mega bux....what a divorced 65 year old realtor lady drove in 1990, bleached, botoxed , too many bracelets, too much makeup, perfume arrived a minute before she did....

I sense a story...
Just came back from a local show.mostly classics but a few late models
Lots of interest in the thing lots of remembrances from old guys driving new corvettes lol
Had to take the emergency tunes along, it was nice to listen to some hardcore techno after 2 hours of bill haley and the comets
local weirdo builds stuff like this.pumps up pretty quick
Dude does nice work but yeah never anything " normal"

Now that's a transformation. These have never been on my radar either, but they are different enough from anything else that they are suddenly very interesting.
Any plans to bring the pop up headlights closer to the color of the rest of the car? That purple hue brings to mind abusive partners and 'I fell down the stairs' excuses.
An old school friend's father who passed away earlier this year had one of these & when I was talking to my friend I discovered it's still in the garage & eventually he'll be selling it.
I keep telling myself I'm not interested, but we'll see...
Going to match up the headlight lids to the red but then all the chrome and the mirrors are going either black or bargain fiber.i hate chrome.
Just put another 220 km on it....it needs a blower badly.the bottom end is lazy as hell even msnually shifted
Also has a bad torque converter shudder at 80kmh when it doesn't know what to do.so i drive it like my old mark 8s-- leave it in D till you see 110 kmh then click overdrive, much better
A shiny white convertible Reatta just showed up at the slightly shady used car lot on the corner by my work.
I'm tempted to stop by just to see how absurdly he's got it priced.
In reply to BlueInGreen - Jon :
Less than 25,000 Reatta were made and less than 2,500 were convertible. Pretty rare. The convertible is an attractive package.

I used to have a 71 Skylark GSX. A real one....stage 1 455 and a th400 and it was epic, had zero problems with 5.0 mustangs and the like, back when Buick gave a crap
Then they took a nap till the grand national with the intercooler and then yeah just gave up the game
Go get it
I swear this thing is just a sweet ride. Add a factory blower and some decent rubber and its right as rain

Got to test fit the wheels though..love em lovem lots
Need 225/60/16 tires and itll be stunning after the centers get painted black

In 1990 I was 28 years old and this old lady would've creeped me out. Man, I never want to get old.
I'm turning 60 this year and now those old ladies sound kinda sexy to me.
Problem is they are now 97...Or! Reincarnated and now only 32...so You and I are the old creeps...think in 4D.....
I think i kinda like it, but it definitely needs some LOW. Those 80s wheel gaps never cease to amaze me, haha.
