Well todd has been out of town for work, and we'll, my father passed away. So we both had a lot of other things to take care of.

Also, I am living in a campground for two months while my wife hosts here.  I am working remotely. 

Todd went over to the house today and pulled the wire ring out.  Looks like we will get good at reading schematics.

While I am still in Michigan for 2 more weeks, Max has started preparing the engine bat for paint.

no pics because the uploader is acting weird.

On the pictures / uploading thing I'm seeing recommendations to try clearing your cache and then logging in again helping for some.  There's a thread on the new server in the main GRM forum.

Pretend you see a picture of an 80% paint striped engine bay

Single sentence updates will continue until the photo upload issue is corrected. 

Engine bay is now in primer.

Painted engine bay in primer, the final color is pretty close to primer grey though.

Lol, no. Photo just ended at the exact right spot.

I am headed home from hosting at a campground in Michigan. I'll have more regular posts.

The clutch arrived while I was away

Well I am typing this at 1am somewhere between Tennessee and Arkansas. 

Instead of "draging something home" we hope to be driving something home.

We are headed to Austin TX to pick up a 1982 Volvo 240. This will be Max's project car.

Here we are getting gas in southern Illinois.

15 hours there in a rental Malibu,  15 hours back in a 42 year old Volvo.  What could possibly wrong?

Oh, I gotta work on Monday, ....

South of Dallas.  I slept 6 hours and took over driving. 

We will be driving it home

Basic maintanance 

While driving I was fiddling around and discovered it has cruise control.  At first it was jerky but it has gotten better.  In a town called West, Texas.

Look what we just passed!

Bedding down, it's been a long 28 hours

Omg I gotta stop getting distracted.  I bought an rsx and did struts, tires, and an alignment. I went to Austin Texas and picked up a Volvo 240.  
 

Now my daughter's car barfed oil all over when trying to do an oil change. Turns out the oil pan has already been helicoiled once and it has now failed. 
 

luckily Oriley had an oil pan in stock. Got it and 90 min RTV. I will tackle that in the morning. 
 

soon,  soon I'll get to work on the Dragon....

OK done with the Sonic, now back to the dragon.  Except the pick up truck now wants an oil change....  I will probably just take it to the dealer (its a 2022 model) and have them do it with the tire rotation, $80 well spent after the weekend I just had.

Oh, the RSX had a check engine light, I remember now the previous owner saying when it gets low on fuel it loses some vacume and thows an EVAP code.  I check and sure enough that was it, filled it up and cleared the code.

OK NOW I can get back to the Porsche....
