This really comes down to two factors:
1) Skill Level
2) Wallet Size.
With enough skill / money, anything can be done. Conversely, how comfortable are you with learning by doing and learning new skills while spending money.

What's your goal for the build? Street car? Drag strip monster? (Road course) track days? Rallycross? Autocross? Drifting?
