From my exp with a 170 from a Falcon...
You will NEED a ridge cutter to remove the pistons! At least with a 1963 Falcon wagon... "we" didn't know better(I was all of 17) and we tried to get the pistons out... hammered on the rods and all 
any who.... you also might want to look @ Cliffords performance they have some neat performance parts available for the 200

What is this magical land of outside car lifts and an amazing variety of vehicles? Looks like a great place to work. Always wanted to build up an American straight six because not enough people do.
My primary Maverick memory as a kid was the fact that the early cars didn't even have a glove compartment, just a shelf.
