I now had the skeletal remains on a chassis jug. I originally planned on grafting my newly assembled floor to this, but there was so little structural metal to work with, I was not sure how to proceed.
I did what I suspect most people do in this situation. I avoided it and bought other shiny parts. This is our dining table. Melanie is clearly a tolerant partner... (All parts are new or refinished- no dirt or grease)
Various bits, the pretty thing in the foreground is the radiator "header" tank -overflow tank on this side of the pond.
I am planning on a vintage race car, and I hope this will work. I ditched the heavy vacuum servo, and went to AP dual masters...

This is neat! Was this a kit or you built it from scratch?
A few months pass. I finally decide what to do. Avoid the body work. Work on something I can relate to. I had all the parts nickle plated, so I assembled the rear suspension set up- That got me the differential, brakes, all in one package
Rear Setup- uprated brakes, vented rotors, shocks, springs, bronze bushings and reinforced cage. Heavy!
Spring, 2019. I get some guts and cut the car in half. I start adding the firewall/front bulk head and graft the front cowl, inner sills. (sub-frame in the foreground.)
Needing a break from the bodywork , I disassemble the engine - buy shiny new parts and send it to the machine shop, far, far away (Not pictured, crazy cams and valves)
When I was a teenager, I had this iconic poster on my wall. Next to it, I had clippings from Car Craft and Hod Rod magazine. I was in enamored with both, Farrah and Jim Inglese's Weber carbs stacked on V-8 motors.
I was able to locate Jim Inglese- super nice guy, and he rebuilt my carbs- so exciting!!!!

Oops, Drinking wine and posting, I thought I had a duplicate post and deleted my original- Then realized it was a question from you!
It is a kit, but needs some help from a Dremel tool to work. I think they are made for lots of Prince of Darkness Lucas Applications.
I made a small cart out of a Harbor Freight lift table, 2x4's and split pool noodles
The biggest frustration is flashing of the bare metal- it happens overnight, so I do a few square feet of repair at a time, and the spray on some of the white epoxy primer to protect it.
Time for some shiny new parts- (triple disk clutch and super light flywheel, front harmonic balancer)
Those sidedrafts are great. With the look and sound they make especially on straight 6's, I'm going to start putting them on everything.
Love the storytelling and long term ownership.
