Drool, drool, drool .... keep up the amazing work, please !!!
So with the Band being on spring break I have had a couple days to tinker. A little grinding here and there.
I did get a chance to mock up where I think I want the exhaust to end up.
I picked up some S-10 big block chevy headers and changed the flange over to the Caddy pattern. I figured upside down and forward is what I will do. The C5 vette mufflers will work out. Just have to extend the outlets to the edge of the bed.
It should be an easy plumb once I get rid of the factory crossmembers.
MUUUULLLLEEETTT MMUUULLLEETTT GOOOOOO MMUUUUULLLLLEEEETTTT!!! hey will the radiator be in the bed also.....with side vents ala '400 hp vw single cab'? this bad to the bone.....

Im planning on putting it in the front stock location but will reserve a little space in the bed if that idea turns out the be an overcooling issue. I am thinking of running some thick wall 1" tubing hoping to slow the coolant down.
I am going to louver the tailgate and bedsides to allow heat to leave because I plan on running the cap.I also want to vent the front fenders and hood to let the air flow through.
Just have to see how the box flares work into the build.
In reply to MulletTruck: Not knowing these trucks all that well, will your fuel tank reside in the stock location? Also the locating strut/bar thingy on the rear drivetrain....will that withstand 500+ ftlbs when you're feelin' a bit frisky?

When you first explained your plans for this build I really couldn't conceptualize what the end result would be. Honestly, I still can't - but what you've done so far is way beyond my expectations...I can't wait to see how it progresses & the end result!

Right now I am planning the gas tank will go in the front. I should be able to get at least 20 gallons and still have a little room for the batterys too. The stock tank will go with the running rolling chassis.
The lock outs on the rear are made from thick chromemoly tubing with quality hiems and will have grade 8/9 bolts. It will test my welding I guess. I made a extra to get me home incase one breaks.

Thanks! Me too.

lol, Yep, been busy with the Band finishing up the new album, training a horse for a gal down the street, taking care of my friend with Cancer and my actual job that pays the bills I have not been able to do anything on the truck. I do have a couple parts on the way in the big brown truck. Some X2 ball joints and new bushings, 2 more rear shocks, a couple tools. Im hoping to have a couple hours on Saturday to get some things tacked into place.
What band? I love finding new music. Even better when it's a guy I kinda sorta know from the internet.

Mazd is looking for something new to lay his hands on....terms you supply the project(funds/parts), he supplies the labor/extensive thread build
Just working a lot, Trying to get some $$ for next few things I need. The studio has been busy since the band is in Europe. Nine Inch Nails has been there doing their new album, and rich people need their theaters and big ass TVs put up o my day job is busy too.
Im looking for a place to move the project again, The neighbors are not happy with the noise it takes to realize a vision, The headgasket popped on the truck and Im not about to fix it just to pull it apart so I scored a free 90 suburban because you still need a truck to build a truck!
Im borrowing a 4X innovations roll cage from a friend before I install it in his truck so I can copy it.
I did pull the engine/trans/diff so I can finish weld the stuff that was done. When I pulled the intake and heads off to make it a little lighter I found a bunch of bent pushrods. Heads looked fine, When I drove it home it was running a little rough but I figured its been sitting a long time (10 years) and just needed a proper tune up.
And someone has been in here before me too, Different year pistons.

The bathtub shaped one is for later model 500s so that hole would have been a bit less compression.
My last Challenge car had a cylinder with slightly less compression, for a slightly different reason.
One of these things is not like the other...
MT I wish I lived closer, you could store that bad boy in the grosh . Good to hear from you....sorry 'bout your bent P rods .
