Somebody has to say it...
That'll buff right out.
Like I said on faceballs, glad he's alright.
On another note, if that thing has some useable parts still, I got a buddy who's pretty crazy about panthers.
HOLY e36 m3 balls... Dude... Glad Vince is ok. My old man preaches it at me when we're together and I move over or pay attention to what the idiot is doing behind me/passing me.
"You drive your car, worry about what's in front of you, and let them worry about their car. They want to pass, they need to make sure they have room, it's not your responsibility to make room for them if they're passing you"
Get better! I'm sure you can salvage enough running gear to make most of your money back on it.
Every time I see these pix, I can't believe Vince walked away, and was back working at the Compound like nothing happened.
I guess that's what being young is for. Once I hit my 40's, I started injuring myself climbing out of un-crashed cars.
How much was luck and how much was inherent strength and ability to protect the passengers of the Panther platform.
These keep crossing my mind for the safety factor. I've known two cops who survived massive crashes due to the size and weight and protection of thier cruisers.
time for you to add to the sampson/clifford set and get an f100, the motor, front suspension and rear suspension can all be fitted to the f100 or f10.
next challenge car? doing the cv swap drops the front end up to 5 inches same with the rear. still has plenty of ground clearance...
a shortbed had a shipping weight of around 3500 lbs so it's no light car. but that means the stock cv suspension is designed for the same weight...
Replaced the blue 05 Vic with a black 05
A few changes done so far
Labelled
Oops too far
It was raised up to a more reasonable height
Ratty exhaust removed and new 2.5" system run, with Magnaflow mufflers and tips, it sounds like a V8 now.
This one has cruise control and a slightly more highway friendly rear ratio.
So Where's the pics of the buffed out lights, de-stanced ride height and you know, maybe a wash?
I'll just leave these links here. I liked this project.
BTW, where the hell is a GRM official magazine Project Vic?

Update on Blackie, Vince has managed to keep it on the shiny side up, it has been his daily and work vehicle, well over 200K now.
Has gained a dent in the rear drivers door thanks to some berkweed who damaged it in the Walmart parking lot.
Has had some transmission issues which led to Vince doing the J mod and fitting all new seals and gaskets.
This car is loud, IMHO it needs to be a little less rowdy but hey I am not a 22 year old kid.
Has some pretty good tunage going down too
