In addition to the Fairmont we plan to bring another entry. An old friend that many of you might recognize. You can view the original build here: https://www.paccracing.com/fiataspurchased
It has been sitting for close to 10 years waiting for it's turn. With the success we had with the Fairmont, it only seemed natural to duplicate the powerplant into something that is lighter, and safer, so that we can go faster.
We recently wrapped up the turbo manifold. Came out pretty nice if you ask me.
Oh heck yeah
That work space is looking nice!
Oh my. Really hope to see this one in action.
Nice! I like it and would be happy to lose a drag against it any day.
Ooh, nice! I've been following this on the Vortec 4200 Facebook group and I'm excited to see it here too. Looking forward to more updates!
I am looking forward to how you handle heat management give the limited space at the front end of the Fiat.

That part is actually not that bad. Tons of room. Did you see the Talon?
Calvin, what is the mileage on these " Atlas's" that you and Dad are scoring for this madness? My experience is my 2004 Bravada AWD ...third motor. which came from LQK with approx 56k on the odo......the best one yet.
I loved this car. So glad it's still around, and ready for its next opportunity!!

It varies. The engine in my Stude only had 60k miles The one in the Fairmont had 175k. The one we plan. To put in the Fiat will have like 150k if I recall correctly. We like to say that the rings are "pre-gapped" on the higher mileage engines. Lol
I remember that car rockin the 3 wheel motion.

Do you guys ever do stuff that's not awesome?
Have you heard of these dropping valve seats?
is this another $2000 challenge build? EDIT: LOL nevermind I just read the first post again.
how much does pulling the previous SBC free up in the budget?

They're physically incapable of not-awesome. I saw Calvin try to unfold and set down a totally normal chair under the pavilion at the challenge and the berkeleying thing flew out of his hand, did a burnout, took off down the dragstrip and then came to rest at the table with a 9 second timeslip on it.

I have. I think that is a 2002 engine thing. Could be wrong. Never been an issue for us.
Video worth watching. Good job.
