I *love* that front door with glass transom.
Same. I just hate that whenever the prior owner installed aluminum siding, they covered that glass transom all up on the outside. So right now the only view out of it is of some hard foam insulation. Were I to stay in this house, that would get cut out so the window would be usable.
Here's an inexpensive way to personalize your Transom. I hate it around here with old Victorian homes, some chucklehead in a hurry covers all the trim and detail with aluminum.

I wanted to do something exactly like that, but sadly never got around to it.
However in good news, the house went on the market on Saturday morning. So far it's gotten a lot of views on sites like trulia and zillow, and some saves as well. We listed it for 157, hoping to get 150. Fingers crossed it'll sell quickly so I can hurry up and move and start my challenge car!
