Jack up the front and let the air roll out of the filler. The beauty of an electric water pump is that I can run the system without creating any heat.
People wonder why people ask for so much money when selling a race car. It's the labor. The builder remembers the 2 hours spent mounting a damn radiator and how that was a simple job:
Fuel cell and radiator are now in. Need to plumb and put in a firewall.
Trying like hell to consolidate weight toward the middle. The cell only holds 6.2 gallons - 6 with the foam in it, but that's still 50 pounds.
Last night was pretty quiet, but I did drill and tap the radiator for an air bleed, which should solve any issues of air in the radiator. The filler in the front of the car will take care of that end of things. This week is all about plumbing and finalizing wiring. Then it's buttoning up safety gear before Ascutney Hillclimb on the 15th and 16th.
Yup, gonna have to cut the hood.
Finalized all the wiring and then tested it out - no smoke (ignore background music?) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_SND_x18Fa0
OK looking for info from other RX7 owners. 3 studs/bolts on the driver's side engine mount. What size are the top 2? Mine are missing.
EDIT: NVM I'm dumb.
Assembling -16AN hoses SUCKS
Fuel pumps are installed, wired and plumbed - though I want to switch a straight fitting for a 90 bend for a better fit.
Looking at clearances for exhaust. Two options. I have a muffler serving as my collector, so the exhaust goes Header (1.8id) > Racingbeat road race presilencer > Borla XP Pro muffler > 3" exit
Option one: transition it to ovalized tubing and run a side exit. Pros: less weight Cons: No ability to add more muffler Option two: run it out the back like a normal car. Pros: Can add on muffler as needed. Cons: Heavier. Fuel cell will need heat protection.

Must be "reasonable"
And then I finally ran out of aluminum sheet.
Fuel system is complete. I need better rubber isolators for the fuel pumps. LOUD
