I need to zip tie that front tow strap up

Look at how tiny that Europa looks compared to the Boxster in the background! Image looks like it was photoshopped when you look at those two cars.
The RX looks great- I'm really enjoying following along with your progress!
The Porsche makes the Europa look very small indeed, but with the optional sport exhaust it sounds soooooooo good.
Working on designing some front splitter and diffuser mounts that will allow easy removal for trailering. The goal is it fits on like a sleeve and gets pinned. Pull the pin and you can remove the element. I'll be using 4130 to save weight over mild steel.
Good news! It looks like I'll be joining the team at Team O'Neil as a weekend instructor. Very excited!
So I decided to check my throttle travel and double check things were opening as they should. I've been limited to 40% throttle....
Time to schedule more dyno time!
Ah - the old "stop" method of limiting power. I see another "First" in your future....
The only time my 19 year-old Volvo V8 conversion ever let me down is when the Mustang throttle cable broke. When replacing it I discovered the previous owner had used the wrong hole to connect to on the gas pedal end of things. I was getting about 60% open. Put it in the hole for longer travel - Voila! - 100% travel. Made a noticeable difference....
Gotta love the free horsepower upgrade haha.
Knowing that it wasn't anywhere near full throttle, I feel more than comfortable sharing that it previously put out 170whp at 8k rpm on a dyno that typically reads about 10% lower than anything else I've encountered. True heartbreaker dyno for those spouting huge numbers - I know it was humbling when I had my Subaru Legacy GT on it.
The true number was likely around 185whp based on that.

John Reed told me to always, always check that you are getting full throttle if any changes are made to that area. He got it from his dad who was a tech inspector. Surprising how many people paid big money for an engine only to use less than 100% throttle.
I'm loving all the RX7 build threads around here right now. It's the second coming of the FC chassis!

We'll be competing this weekend at RACE WARS being held at New England Dragway in Epping. That means I'll need to buy a flat brim hat and overnight some Spoon engines from Japan.
I'll be competing in the MAX EFFORT competition, which combines your 1/4 mile drag time with your fastest autocross time. Really it's just a chance to get more time in the car before the Okemo hill climb in July. I'm excited to finally feel what 100% throttle feels like....
