I am not familiar with the MB setup, are those are just to balance the boost between the banks?

Correct, it balances out the pressure between pulses, usually see a 1-2psi drop in boost
Back on task
Billet bump sticks from RaceIQ
Getting rid of the blasting media
Rotated the engine, rechecked timing, buttoned it up
I like seeing people dive head first into this era benz, always interesting to see how things are done differently as if everyone is used to miata-like everything where its extra simple. this is tricky! nice job
Short stint in the garage, could have done more but that would involve crawling around on my back and ya boy isn't feeling that today.
Hellcat throttle body
Snow meth inject.... son of a
Game on
That'll do pig, that'll do
Swapped out the suspension tandem pump which is a hybrid power steering pump and the pump that provides the pressure for the suspension so I deleted the reservoir tank and tidied up the bracket.
Friend of the family has one of these. Still my favorite sounding motor.
When you floor it, just crazy how it horks air in.

They definitely make all the right noises
Found a good deal on some billet surge tanks so now we're fancy
To-do list is getting shorter
First time making an exhaust and the tips lined up, i'll count that as a W
Back on task
Looped fuel rail and 550 injectors
Throwing on of these is, should handle the temp issues
I'm wondering how far you can get if you use those catbon fiber skills to make some new body panels and get the weight down.

Thought has crossed my mind, first order of business would be, and still might be, deleting the vario roof. I think it saves like 400lbs.
Picked up a w211 e55 as a daily driver a couple of months ago, with the pulley and a tune it's such an easy cruiser right up until you nail it - have the urge to screw more HP out of it, but at the same time it's hard to justify!
Are you doing anything in terms of a trans tune?
In reply to Gammaboy :
Horsepower needs no justification
Ill load a tune into the TCU when the flash the ECU
Side note, in theory when the couplers for the surge tanks come in I can turn the key

In a toy I'd agree, but I don't really want to destroy the cruise-ability with a fixed pulley, and the Aussie dollar+shipping is screwing the affordability of mods...
In reply to Gammaboy :
Agreed, it's a deep rabbit hole modding a true daily. If I was going to scratch the mod bug for a daily 55 car I would do a clutched pulley, TCU/ECU tune and split the cooling system and call it done.
I'm part way there, clutched pulley and a tune, and looking at TCU options from mkultra.
E55's apparently don't need the cooling system split because they don't have the bleed hose from the heat exchanger circuit that slowly drives engine heat into the heat exchanger circuit... But the weather here means that heat exchanger upgrades/a secondary heat exchanger is something I'm looking at too... Interested to hear more about the interchiller setup.
