Dunno. The girls are trying to convince me to do flares in black. I think body color with polished rivets.
And, it looks almost as good in person as it does in pictures. But i still have a LOT of work to clean, paint, polish. Devil's in the details.

I think semi gloss black would look great. That or a few shades darker of body color.
Dunno yet. Family stuff for the next few days, so no time to speay and test the flares. Should have done them yesterday, but....

I'm sure someone on here, not me, can Photoshop the flares so you can compare color options.
The ladt Photoshop we had done was by gameboyrmh of the Nuremberg livery applied to our car.
Problem is that the flares are too radical for that livery to look right.
Im thinking that body color will subtle them up some, and draw less attention to the fact that we widened the car by 2 feet.
Anyone know what to do to bring back chromed plastic? Our grilles look like garbage. The metal chrome is in fantastic shape though.
Gotta be cheap.
Hit with a scotchbrite pad and spray some kind of "normal" paint and give up on the chrome aspect?
How much surface area are we talking about?
If thinner sections are all you need, you could use some of that gaudy chrome pinstriping.
Although I'm not sure if that's something anyone even carries anymore.
Its a 1 inch wide strip, about 5 foot long. Ish.
I had thought about the chrome stickers that people used to put along the bottom of the doors to hide rust back in the 90s. But have no idea what its even called to go looking for it.
I got you covered with some silvered mylar tape or aluminum tape. Is it 1" wide or a little wider?
I have some on the shelf. Only a few thousandths thick and sticks really well.
Ill have to measure.

The paint looks great! I'd do the flares in the the same color.

If I was only screwing around with a heads up display I would happily be updating. Right now I'm waiting for the insurance company to total my Miata and trying to regain my stamina after the heart attack like thing, whatever the hell that was. I unfortunately am not going to get the car as clean and neat and detailed as I had originally planned before the challenge.
