Megasquirt has been sourced. Looks like i accidentally a standalone ECU.
Car still not driving. Naturally bought more frivolous things.

So when do we get install pictures of all the stuff, frivolous or not, that your buying?
Hopefully soon, since i'm taking this thing to Deal's Gap in 4 weeks. So.... CRUNCH TIME!
Not being sure if the lack of extra o2 sensors and such will play nice with the BP5A ECU previously purchased, i decided a "back up plan" was prudent.
I present: The MS Labs MS2 Enhanced NB1 PNP.

So talk to me about that MS2. Why is it good?
This one is good because it was cheap. But outside of that, it has all kinds of crazy extra stuff that it does that i really don't care about. Like valet mode.
But it was also the cheapest way for me to get working knock control in a standalone ECU. This may very well find its way to the MX6 in a year or two, but in the meantime it'll be nice while trying to get the last 0.3whp out of a motor that's pretty terrible for making n/a power as i attempt to run a pretty crazy timing map.
Deals gap?
Drive over to Lexington for bbq and ill meet you there.

Will probably take you up on that during the July trip, not the June trip. (We'll be leaving after work on a Friday, won't be getting into Fontana until about midnite.) July trip for MATG there will be a caravan, need to see if we can make Lexington "on the way."
that's cool I'll have to treat you the best damn BBQ in the state
In return, maybe i can show you the worlds fastest 90whp Miata.
In other news, i really like this intake manifold setup. So that's going to happen this season as a fun side project.
Go to Etown first, then Lexington
Are you wanting to see the hairdresser's convention parade, too?

You sure that Honda radiator has enough cooling capacity for track work?
If you really want that 90whp to feel fast, ill let you drive the drivabeater.
Sure. It'll be a change of scenery from all the brodozers around here.

He seems to be having no issues with it. I won't be trying that, though. I have a CSF 42mm on the way.
Bad day wrenching on Saturday.
Swapping shocks? berkeley a bunch of long bolt method. Sawzall method. (Disclaimer: this was actually for removing the sway bar. Ended in tears.)
Not content with just berkeleying myself over with the endlinks, i figured i'd sawzall off my balljoint.

Day ended when i realized that the bead welded around my extended hats won't fit through the hole in the tower. Derp. More work necessary. Will be attacking the car this week with nut splitters, dead blow, and a grinder. Progress WILL be made. In the meantime, i'm THAT GUY in the neighborhood.

At least you're not the neighbor with the unkempt lawn.
Top hats are going to require a few hours of work to get them to work well. Going to have to strip the paint off then go over the existing welds with a tig, no rod in an effort to smooth them out and push through for penetration. If i'm right, this should take care of my problems AND make them much stronger.
Got a care package yesterday to help finish my interior finally.
Glove box, NA6 door pads for my custom panels, a/c delete interior things. So excite.
