Quoted because I like, and to bump this pic to the next page.
I just caught up on your thread, and I have a thought on NLA OE parts. Brand specialist yards sometimes buy up old stock. Some years ago we needed a door bushing and such a yard supplied it, and it was in shop worn OE packaging that was Wasneys in Burnaby BC.

There is supposed to be a place up in Binghampton NY (about an hour from me) that buys old stock. I can't remember the name off the top of my head but I have it written down somewhere in the garage. The NAPA guy that told me about them said they have a little bit of everything, they don't just keep mustang parts or similar.
The rally starts tomorrow. We spent the weekend finalizing the packing and organizing. I gave it a final look over and didn't see anything important falling off.
Mrs Logdog is the social media manager/navigator/sous-technician for the adventure and will be posting all the pictures for Rally scoring. If you want to follow along here are the accounts.
We also applied our murals. I put this together over Thanksgiving and we ordered the decals in December. We have one on each side. The cat is Ivan, our orange tabby. We made him pose by bribing him with treats.
I wanted to use Danica Catrick but black fur didn't "pop" enough. She will be making the trip with us as she is quite fond of car rides.
Its made out of some leftover lexan from the Champcar.
My wife packed a few pounds of candy to hand out

Does that bubble balancer work well? Just curious as I've thought it would be nice to have one...if they work.
This thing is just awesome. Good work!

On the stuff I mount at home it works great. Basically anything 65 series sidewall and higher. The van runs as smooth as a 1982 Econoline could be expected to.
If I was balancing a set of 35 series 22 inch wheels for a Eurotrash Tunaslapper, I would want a Hunter Roadforce

Its been brutal at times. Especially since every door seal was made by the lowest bidder in 1982. This thing leaks a lot! Quite drafty. Plus the heater itself is weak. I thing the core needs attention. We have been using a propane heater between the seats
Yesterday was the suck. 950 mile straight run back. Plus when I got home, I had to jump out of the van and snow blow the driveway while Mrs Logdog waited up the road. The plow trucks left a nice wall at the end. It was hard to tell with the drifting but it seems we got 6-8 while we were gone. But the important thing is we made it back in one piece.
2745 miles
