Went back to Gainesville today. Learned more tractor stuff. First I learned that we did all of yesterday with the brakes engaged. Found the release for them. Looks like I'm missing a lever to make it easier. Then I learned how to operate the grader better. After I got done with it I decided to load up the bush hog. That was a PITA. What I found works is line it up close. Try to force arm onto pin. It won't work so get it close and kick it. That'll work most of the time. After that I did about an hour and a half cutting the ditch and driveway. I can do the ditch in 6 passes with the last two passes being half strips. This is half way done.

It's a little bit of a learning curve with a new machine.  Try dropping the Brush Hog on blocks, in an easy access location.  Makes attaching it a little easier (raising and lowering the 3 point hitch, more play), and keeps the grass an stuff away from it for a while.

If I always had a helper around it wouldn't matter, but since I'm usually by myself, the Quick Hitch is a game changer. I think I got mine for $150 delivered.

It's been a little over 5 months that Trent's been sitting. Today I jumped on him and after I remembered how to he started right up.

I needed space for my deck. Why spend an hour cleaning out up when you have a tractor?

After that I really needed to cut the ditch again. Some DA didn't have his bush hog adjusted right at first. That same DA also forgot to put his bush hog down on two passes.

I'm hoping his next job will be putting in a culvert but first I need better living quarters.
