Right! I all of a sudden have an affinity for Team Witt.

Without wanting to turn it into an advertisement for work, it's funny seeing people keep commenting on the rusty old Fords in the background when there is so much cooler stuff around the building and that we've completed.

Yeah. It's a big heavy truck engine but it's a cool looking big heavy truck engine. I read somewhere a while back that the dressed engine and transmission weighed 700 pounds which is as much as a 426 hemi. While making.....less horse power. It's not about big power numbers though thankfully.
A Hemi by itself weighed 700lb.
The block alone was something like 230! Crazy

Yeah, all steel. Body is all 20ga so like .034 inch thick and fun to weld.
The nose piece is made, now I can get started on the actual grill. Or the other side exhaust piece. Or remaking the windshield frame in stainless. Or maybe even touching the largely unmade seat cover again.....it's good to have options.
13.5 hours on that one piece, now to make the other little close out piece to sit beneath the head pipes.
IF you accept random comments- Keep the naked steel look. Make sure it's not gonna shine in your eyes, but apply E36 M3loads of Gibbs to make a protective barrier or do several layers of clearcoat. Shiny and Chrome.
