This is going to be slow as I'll only have small chunks of time to work on it. My parents gave me this when they moved. I think they bought it in 2000. Its been heavily used and spent most of its life sitting in grass parked behind their shed. It still works fine, but its a bit of an eyesore parked in my driveway in a more dense suburban neighborhood.
Plan of attack:
- Take apart trailer
- Knock off loose paint/rust
- Repaint (Rustoleum)
- New wooden floorpan
- New LED lights, new wiring
- Possibly move license plate (pending light solution)
- Modify tailgate to easily latch to trailer - probably just bungee hole
Last night I took off the sides, the tie downs, and blew all of the crap off of it. Surprisingly, I only sheared off one bolt. 2 screws that hold the sides on were missing as well, but I don't really like having sheet metal screws there anyway, so I'll find a way to through-bolt them when I reassemble. These pics were taken a few minutes into the project.
