The wheel tubs are done and the rear axle is back in
The radiator is mounted, just waiting on a hose to come in to hook it up

Thanks! For a short while it worked for everyone. As far as I know, it is no longer possible
Sanchinguy said:Ben,
How did you set up the steering in this one? I can figure it out from the pictures...
It is a typical tube axle street rod cross steer. Vega style, gm 140 box.. i think, with a steering arm to the right spindle. Dut to the coilovers, it also uses a panhard rod
Nice. It’s well positioned and barely visible from the angles the pictures were shot from. More awesome work - my respects, sir!

First start up and quick ride down the street! Open headers kept me close to home...that and the complete lack of any lighting, horn, glass, seat belts......Video is on my youtube page. www.BenModified.com

I do occasionally sell one. I built the "new" shop back in 2010 with tons of room. Now that I have filled the newer bigger shop, something will need to go.

About the firing order question in the video, there are 3/2 and 4/7 swap cams available that change the firing order. Swapping 4/7 and 3/2 yields an LS firing order. 4/7 only swap is more common than 3/2 only swap. You have a 3/2 only swap
Finally took the V8 Bug for a short drive..open headers. Good progress on the hood scoop and flamethrower exhaust!
