It deserves to be linked. Brings a literal meaning to floorboards

It's $900 and drives, that's an incredible starting point. E36 M3

And it is "almost" ready for autocross, just needs another board over the passenger side floor and a few odds and ends. Price is right :-)

Truck frame and running gear, with a body dropped on it. It's a great start and its so cheap...

Makes Clarkson's the excellent look well done.  But definitely stirring my brain.

Is a pick up truck frame really better suited for autocross than the spitfire's original setup?

That would be way cool for Gambler or such, or I'd DD something like that in a heartbeat.

I have a 87 Dakota (450K miles... ran when parked! - really did; 15 years ago) I still need to bring down from VA. Last thing still there.

If you take 20" out of it and pickup body off it - you have a fully boxed frame, SLA front suspension and solid rear axle. You could definitely start from a worse point

You guys rock.  I've been sick the past few days and too lazy to check Craigslist.  I think it was $800 of FBMP.

Cool. Woulda thought most methods of lowering it would take the geometry out of wack, or limit travel too much.
the early dakota is a common 5 lug, and rack and pinion as well.
