I went to check this out yesterday because I got excited about the prospect of what seems like an easy flip. Confirmed that the car does run well and will move (barely) under its own power. Definitely needs tires as the fronts are bald and rears aren't far behind.
What really turned me off was that the rear of the car has very obviously been in an accident and had some less-than-stellar bodywork and paint performed. This made me feel like it's not a great candidate for a flip since that would be a red flag for most buyers, but it could be a great commuter for someone if they want to replace the clutch. Also the ad is wrong and the mileage is actually at 133k, has a check engine light for an o2 sensor.
He has it listed for $800, but when I said I wasn't interested he offered it to me for $600 so I'm sure there's plenty of potential for someone who wants it.

Also might be worth mentioning that the craigslist location is way off. I met the guy at 23 mile road and M-53 (Macomb Township?) and it sounded like he lived very near the Walmart we met at.

If it wasn't so far away I'd buy that . I got more than that in replacement parts from my deer strike last year.

Yes. I'm assuming he lives very near walmart. I tried taking it for a drive and top speed was about 25mph.
