69 Daytona spider Ferrari kit car It is built on a 1969 Corvette chassis and birdcage no motor no trans no suspension frame is rotted used to be a great car back in the day It's rough deafly can be restored best offer yes I have a title and tags My phone number 203-427-5564
So what could you throw in there to recreate some Italian noises? Alfa 3.0, VR6, 3.4 SHO V8 (do they make good sounds?) Mazda KL (that V6 one)
I'd put a LS in it, have you seen the House of Muscle with the 383 in a Ferrari 250 gte? It works Since the car was an engine donor thirty years ago.
I never noticed those awful rectangular headlights on the Miami Vice kit car before. I'm kind of glad that they blew it up.

I know a crankshop that makes a 180 degree crank for LS engines, for that authentic Italian sound
Why does "Best offer" mean "I want more than this is probably worth..." to me?
So what does a kit like this typically sell for? Granted, I'll concede the "already have a title and tags" part is worth a fair bit. I've seen C3 chassis on Hemmings for reasonable prices fairly often.
Here's my old one that I built in '85 and had filmed on Max Headroom. Almost got to buy it back 2 years ago.
Easy to make quite fast and an LS 6 speed combo would be sweet. But mine had a working trunk... Good thing I don't have space or I'd be tempted to try to do it all again....
The kit, in '85 cost over $6k, but that included polished aluminum bumpers and real Ferrari lights. Another $1000 got the dash and center console with instruments.

Hi, I'm Tom and i'm interested in the Daytona Spyder kit you have on forum. I'm an old school car guy. I collect, restore, and build. I have a BBC, ZL-1, 554 Nomad, a numbers matching 67 Camaro, a 1941 Ford, Super DeLuxe Woody wagon ( was in the movie Something Wild, last scene), and a 1929 Ford, Model "A" Sport Coupe all original. I also have a 1977 Harley FXE custom, and a 1948 Harley FL, Panhead custom chopper. I'm in Long Island, NY, and i've always loved that Daytona Spyder, and I am interested in it. What are you asking? How bad is the chassis? I had a 69 L-46 Vette, Numbers matching that I sold. Please let me know. Thanks. Tom
